Mainstream Prod. is once again bringing you DRIFT SHOWOFF. This year there will

be an actual competition instead of an exibition, and the venue has been

changed from Del Mar to Irwindale. This means there will be more track to slide

on and more space to show on. Expect to once again see some of the top japanese

drivers going against the new US talent in head to head match ups! For more

information check out the NEWS section of the forum or go to

Here is a Press Release from Mainstream prod. concerning the up coming drift

showoff event

FALKEN TIRE DRIFT SHOWOFF MOVES TO IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY

The October 12th event relocates to Irwindale to include bigger area for car

show plus Drift Clinic and Pro/Am Competition.

Los Angeles, CA (September 21, 2003) Due to overwhelming demand, the Falken Tire

Drift Showoff scheduled to roll into Del Mar, CA October 12, 2003 will move to

Irwindale Speedway in order to accommodate a bigger showcar area and a ALL NEW

intermediate/advance drift run groups and Pro/Am drift competition.

"Originally, the Del Mar event was supposed to only feature a professional

drift exhibition since the facility and track configuration couldn't manage

anything bigger than that, on top of that we needed a larger area for all car

show contestant entries that came in," says Ken Miyoshi - Showoff event

organizer. "But we've received so many requests from fans and drivers who

wanted to participate in the event that we decided to move the event to a

larger venue that could handle a larger number of cars and drivers."

Sunday October 12, 2003 event features:

AREA 1 - SHOWOFF Car Show

Featuring Southern Cali's finest Teams, Japan Spec, US Spec and Euro Class tuned

automobiles to hit the Showoff Competition Arena. Plus the extensive

Manufacturer and Vendor alley.

AREA 2 - Drift Demo Pro Drift Demo and Japan's top pro's will be showcasing a

drift choreographed show and going sideways all day long. Get your chance to

meet and greet Yoshinori Koguchi with his new Falken 180SX and Seigo Yamamoto

with the new Falken S14. All day drift machines with pros drifting from over

100mph!

AREA 3 - Live Entertainment Live Entertainment Stage featuring DJ Coke-E from

Power 106 and DJ for DJ Quik. Live Performances from New Upcoming artists

featuring Hip Hop, R&B and Live Bands.

Competitors will be able to compete in separate classes in order to provide more

competition and for more chances to win trophies and cash prizes. These classes

will be: EXC Class, Novice Class, and Amateur Class.

The EXC CLASS pits the "Best of the Best" show cars against one

another. These cars have proven themselves by winning the top honors in

previous SHOWOFF events. They will be awarded 1st to 3rd place, in which the

overall winner is awarded the coveted EXC SHOWOFF TROPHY.

The NOVICE CLASS offers competitors a chance to win trophies and prizes in

numerous different categories.

The TOP honors in the NOVICE CLASS are:

SHOWOFF AUTO - $1,000

CUSTOM SHOWOFF AUTO - $500

PERFORMANCE SHOWOFF AUTO - $500

The AMATEUR CLASS will continue to cater to entry-level participants. We also

encourage teams to participate for not only for trophies and cash prizes, but

for team PRIDE!
