Need Help ID'ing Vintage Tools
I recently acquired a load of vintage VW and Mazda tools from a retired mechanic who had cleaned out the dealership inventory, where he worked, when it closed up shop. Mazdas are not my forte, so I was hoping this forum could help me identify some of the tools and fixtures.
Here are the first few that I have. I think the larger ones are bench mounted jigs for working on rotary engines or transmissions.

Mmmm, those are kind of cool. This should be interesting. Maybe some 1st Gen./RPU guys with an FSM for reference will be able to chime in.
I agree with your guess, given the bulk and thickness they're jigs for engine dis-assembly/re-assembly. Maybe early versions of our engine stand adapters?
Regardless...nice find.

Re: Need Help ID'ing Vintage Tools
Hi VWandDodge!
I'm very interested in vintage Mazda tools, can you please show me all tools that you have got?
Are you willing to sell some tools? For now I'm interested in engine stand attachment for Diff. works (49 0419 561).
Mazda tools with numbers starting with 49 are for pre 1980 vehicles and 0000 tools for later vehicles.
BTW I do have List of Mazda Special tool for pre 1980 vehicles. Can send you a PDF copy of it if you interested.
