Drag Radials
#1
What drag radials have you run/would you recommend? I went to the drag strip last night, and my car refuses to hook on street tires. Due to crosswinds, they shut the track down to 1/8 mile instead of the usual 1/4 mile. I was trapping just over 93mph in the 1/8, but the ET was very weak. I've got 17x9 wheels in the rear, should I put drag radials on those, or on the stock 16x8?

I love my BFG g-Force T/A drag radials. I was getting some wheel hop before I put them on. Now it just goes. Got my 60' times from like 2.3 to just under 2.0.
On the 9" rim, you could use the 275/40R-17. The 16x8's could wear size 255/50R-16.
The O.D. on the 17's is actually a bit smaller than the 16's.
I hear the Nitto's are good too, and they also come in a 275/40R-17 size. Not sure about the 16's.
If you'll be running at the strip, do yourself a (big) favor and get a set. You will appreciate the difference.
