Thumbs down

We've tentatively scheduled a Dyno event at Performance Motorcars on September 13th in Naples, Florida. Naturally all rotary powered vehicles are welcome. It may become an official MRCCFL event but anyone can attend.

Early details include: $35-$45 dyno run fee, three runs with a wideband. We can do approximately 30 cars. We have enough room to do a BBQ on site and we may head down to one of the parks on the beach and do a bit of grilling down there. Bring bug spray!

Performance Motorcars is going to be opening the dyno for tuning vehicles. It's a clayton unit which does both load/hold runs as well as inertia-style (dynojet) runs with a built-in wideband and five gas exhaust analyzer.

Although people are coming from all over the state, I'd like to have a STRONG showing of SW Florida rotary power. How bout it!

More details to follow. It'll more than likely be a prepaid event, ie. you sign up and pay for a time slot on the dyno.

We'll also do a corner weighting demonstration and show you how to turn your car into a street/autocross/track terror!

Suggestions appreciated. Let me know if you're interested. Just post below! We'll also have an RX8 there and at least one single turbo RX7 but hopefully many many more (Harrison, Jon, get your sh*t together and get down here...and no leaving for the pansy Coast Guard until AFTER the event Harrison!).

They've contemplated the idea of purchasing the necessary equipment to turn their 2WD dyno into an AWD unit but that has not happened as of yet. I'm also still waiting on confirmation from Performance per dyno usage. They've expressed great interest but haven't given me a definite "yes" yet. If not I have a backup plan.
