Mazda Rev It Up Driving Contest In Miami!
#1
With Mazda introducing their Rev It Up program, and having said program in Florida, it'd be a great time to get the gang together in a bit of friendly competition. All the details can be found here: http://www.mazdaevents.com/revitup/ Dates are Miami, FL 5/31 - 6/1.
Essentially it's an autocross-style competition using modified Mazda 6's, provided by Mazda. It's a chance to not only prove you're a great driver but beat up on someone else's car! If you are planning on attending, please contact Bob Retzer bretzer@pacbell.net and let him know. Ian, maybe we can make this an official event and stick it on the calendar? (MRCCFL.com)
If you do win this event locally, you'll have the opportunity to compete at Laguna Seca. Pretty big stuff! If you sign up as a Mazda enthusiast, I believe they take care of your entry fee as well.
A quote from the Mazda PR department:
"Mazda is bringing a truly unique driving experience to Alameda Point in Alameda. Mazda Rev It Up is a 3-day event, showcasing the driving dynamics only found in Mazda vehicles. At Mazda Rev It Up, paying attendees on Saturday and Sunday can learn driving fundamentals from professionals, improve their driving skills through clinics, and test their new found learning behind the wheel of an all-new MAZDA6 sports sedan during timed hot laps! And much, much more.
Attendance is limited and we expect Saturday and Sunday to be completely sold out (this is for a california event-MF). However, we've added an extra day for VIP customers and we're picking up the cost of admission. Please join us on Friday, March 28th at Alameda Point to experience Mazda Rev It Up. You'll be able to participate in the professional driving school and skills clinics.
Then you'll buckle in behind the wheel of an all-new MAZDA6 sports sedan for a timed hot lap or two. You'll also be able to drive other great Mazda products on customized road courses and view some of the latest Mazda products, including a special sneak preview of the all-new rotary powered Mazda RX-8!
For complete Mazda Rev It Up information and directions to the event, log onto www.MazdaRevItUp.com.
If you've found yourself tapping your foot to the catchy Zoom-Zoom music, here's an opportunity to tap your foot on the accelerator and see why every Mazda vehicle has the soul of a sports car.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to call me. Mazda and I look forward to seeing you there!
