Used Turbos
#1
All I have seen are complete turbo kits that are brand new and very pricy. Are there any places to find a slightly used turbo? And if you go from the twins to a single do you have to have the complete kits for the single or can some of the parts from the twins be used.

There are some people you will see from time to time selling their single turbo kits for good prices, you'll just have to search around a bit. Once you go single you will need all the parts that you would get in a kit, wastegate, downpipe, manifold, intake, oil lines, ect..... You will ditch all the twin turbo crap with a much simplier setup. To really do a single turbo setup right you will want a upgraded intercooler, injectors, fuel pump, and fuel management system tuned properly to match your mods.
To go from stock into single turbo is going to be pricey any way you go about it. A good way to upgrade is to start with the basics that you would need once you go with a single turbo. After you have completed upgrading your car with all the essential mods, then you could go single. At least thats how I would do it if I were on a budget, rather than spending several thousand all at one time.

i agree with 94touring. i spent an easy $7000 going single possibly more!
I think I spent $3000 with the ECU/turbine/manifold/injectors/wastegate/fuel pump. I will be spending about $1000 more to port the engine and a new Kaaz Diff. B)
