is that from world war I ??? lol
|
Hehe,
Probably, but it was free so I took it. |
dont use it...I had the same idea before they dont push that much pressure and are too big for a gas powered car to push them...that turbo came off a huge diesel eng...most likley a duce and a half...don't waste your time.. and if its not on the truck its fucked.... just so you dont think I'm bs'n you I'm Army
|
and they are made for more torque to get those trucks moving with HEAVY loads....
|
What if I get an appropriate wheel and housing.

Um.... This turbo is not going to make you much power at all. The diesel trucks with over 40:1 compression makes A LOT more exhaust gas to push that turbo than the 13B can do. The compressor housing on the other hand is actually quite small. Inducer and wheel designs.
Even if you try to get a new compressor wheel and housing, there will be so much trouble to match the turbine shaft... and the turbine wheel is still not responsive enough to spin the better compressor components. |
so basically, if he got a custom or even stock manifold (if it would fit) he would need a new wheel and housing......which means completely different turbo....hahah scum
|
I don't think it'll spool up
