I seem to have some fitment problems using my RB downpipe along with my HKS manifold and 40mm wastegate. The DP hits the top of the WG and wont allow me to mount the turbo flush to the manifold. I could rotate the DP out of the way ( its a v-band... ) but then it wont line up with the rest of my exhaust...

The only option I can think of right now while still using the RB DP is to just rotate it out of the way and have a custom exhaust made... ?

I've seen some people dent the downpipe to fit, but that is a ghetto solution. In my experience it is just better to make a custom downpipe.

I'm going to be using an hks manifold but not the wastegate. I had it in my head to have one custom made to eliminate any fit problems.

I would remake the down pipe before I would make a custom exhaust. Can you just turn the downpipe cut the lower flange off and reclock it to match the rest of the exhaust? That would be one cut and one weld.

I had to chop up my downpipe to make it fit. It was very ghetto.

I have a ghetto custom 3 1/4" down pipe to the Ypipe. Covered in heat strap so is not bad.

Give some time for the gasket to set, after a few good runs and expansion, it should seal up the leaks in the exhaust. That's what what happen to me with the same setup i have.
