I have a couple of questions. I am installing the adjustable SX fuel pressure regulator. Where do you get your vacuum from?

And my other question. How and where do I route the vacuum line that are in the oil metering spots? It looks like they need a fresh source of air, but I am not sure.

Is there anything I need to keep out of the rats nest? I removed the Double throttle already. And If I get my vacuum for my fuel pressure regulator from somewhere else I can get rid of that solenoid too.

Thanks in advance.

I take out all the solnoids. The only one I leave is the purge control to help reduce fuel smell. T the two oil metering nozzles together and run a vacuum hose to the nipple on the inside of the lower intake manifold. You can run the hose for the pfr to basically any nipple on the intake manifold. I life using the one on the back next to the map sensor.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the vacuum lines on the oil metering nozzles are there for? I have heard that some people just connect the two with one piece of silicone hose after removing the rats nest. Any comments on this?

Thanks,

Brady

Everyone runs the oil injectors differently, some the intake manifold and other open to the atomosphere under the manifold. I am not sure which is better. The stock oil injectors run to the front of the turbine intake. Telling me that they need to see negitive vaccum, therefore seeing boost would be good or bad? How do the single guys here run theres?

I got rid of all rats nest! Now there isn't anything under there, looks a thousand times better.

I have a friend that is running a T78 also. He just connects them with one silicone line running from one to the other and leaves it like that. He says the hoses are there just to keep the pressure balanced between the oil metering nozzles.

I am just worried that the engine won't get the oil it needs If I hook them up the wrong way.

Thanks,

I have never heard of them hooked up like that. The oil injectors are controller by the OMP and injector more of less oil based on eng rpm. There is a reason why they where connected to the intake of the turbine, i wish there was a way to measure how much they inject and when. The only thing I can go by is voltage. Just tap the intake side of the turbine and call it good, that what I did. But blocking them I wouldn't do, but that is up to you.

As far as I know, they use boost to force more oil in. When they see vacuum less oil is injected. That is the reason for the vacuum hoses. I run a hose to each injector and t them together and runit to the nipple on the inside of the lower intake manifold.

The oil injector nozzles do not see boost with the stock vacuum configuration, HKS includes a nipple on the intake pipe for the PCV/oil injector vacuum line in my kit. I figured it must be there for a reason, especially from the factory.. I have no idea though. I have seen plenty of guys running them on a line from the LIM with no problems.

I took my FPR line from the stock port on the inside of the LIM close to the firewall.

I also kept my FPR solenoid, again some use it and some don't.. I hear it helps with hot starting?
