Well today I decided that I am going to have to go turbo. I want to compile an exact list of everything i'm going to need to get it done. As some of you know I am leaving for basic in 7 days. But when I get back I'm going to have all that money saved up and I've decided wha I'm going to do with it. I want to blow through my weber that I already have, with a 6 port 13b. the one i have in the car now runs great and they're plentiful if I blow it up. I want to either drive down to rotaryshack And get it done when i get back or order it all when I'm gone and It would be sitting there at home waiting for me to put togather Anyone with experiance feel free to chime in and let me know what all I'll need to get this done.

What I Have:

1983 GSL

S4 13b

Weber 45 dcoe

Idle jets 65f9

Main jets 180f11

Accell pump 45

36mm choke?

RB header & presilencer

Second silencer in the mid pipe

Dynomax muffler(it hasn't burnt out, i got the good one)

MSD DFS

MSD 8mm plug wires

electrik fan

holley blue fuel pump and regulator

Wish list:

turbo manifold: HKS CAST manifold

Turbo: As far as a turbo I don't realy know what kind i want my goals are at least 325 bhp when i turn up the boost, but in the 200's range when I'm drivin it around.

downpipe: not decided yet

intercooler: not decided yet

fuel pressure regulator: Mallory 4309 rising rate

wastegate: not decided yet

blowoff valve: GReddy type s

of course the pipeing

carb bonnet: Rotaryshack

carb prep for boost: by Rotaryshck

oil drain and feed lines:for the feed i'm going to tap the Racingbeat pressure and temp adapter they sell, and for the drain I'll either tap the front cover below the omp, like a friend did, or I don't even have an OMP any more so I figure i could just tap the plate i Have blocking off where it used to be.

longer oil cooler lines(cause the cooler sits where the intercooler would go right now)

okay I'm pretty sure i'm going to be getting the HKS manifold from Rotaryshack. Now it has a mounting point for an external wastegate. So I'm going to be getting a external wastegate and a boost controller. I'm going to get the GReddy PRofec. Now does that work with any wastegate or would I have to get one that allows adjustment?? I was looking at just the standard wast gate from HKS and they list them by PSI. Is that max PSI, or the only PSI they release pressure at?

w/ a 40mm wg...

That boost controller will work with any wg

The psi is the spring rate that the wg will open at w/o a boost controller hookedup..

so i want a turbo that won't produce too much lag and i'd like full boost by like 5000 Rpm. I'm only looking to run 10psi max so would the t04e be a good choice for me? Also on e-bay i see alot of t3/to4e would that be to small of a turbo for my application??

p.s. remember its going to be blowthrough on a 6 port s4 13b if that makes a difference on how much power the engine has to spool up the turbo.
