well guys, it appears tha ti got approved for a $10,000 sponsorship from motorex and their subsidiary company racerX motorsports distributing. i received a conformaiton call today and my contract is supposedly in the mail....i am bound [by contract] for ONLY 4 races or 4 shows. i will most likely opt for the shows this year, or until they extend me a greater amount of money for the racing end.....

my first priorities are the turbo and engine management upgrade, and a new set of coil overs.... now some of you who know that i have been waiting on the ecu purchase for this reason. i think that i am goin to go with a to4r turbo kit and a haltech e11 for the management. that is a good start and the bulk of my money in one fell-swoop. however, the car is pretty set as it stands.

my main question for you all, who might know, is, what kind of fabrication is necessary to apply this turbo to the car. i know that it comes as a kit, but it is never as easy as it seems. some people have told me that the t78 might be better and if so, so be it. but i like the hks stuff and the to4r does not seem to be the most popular of turbos, but is sure promising with an estimated 450hp @ 15psi......would this turbo also be a good one to start racing with? is it comprable to anything that say ARI races with or anyone like that?

whew....i am psyched......but i am going to have to be patient and listen to some of you guys' opinions and advice.....that is why i am here.....

please give me your input......

thanks,

louis

sorry this isn't pertaining directly to what you asked but how did yo signup for sponsorship and such? if you dont want to fill up your topic you could PM me, as im interested not really in getting sponsored, but more in how exactly one would do such a thing.

Like to say congrats! Hope you do good in the events you enter, and hope the car turns out more badass than it already is!

Oh, and with every new mod, you are required to post pics. Thanks!

well, until the order forms are actually in my hands, i am not sponsored, but i did get the acceptance letter and call for starters....i am a skeptic....

my friend with a tdo7 turbocharged mr2 got his first, and he did not want to tell me until he got word. so i called the guy, eric, and talked with him for about an hour. he gave me the rundown and i applied on the internet through their company. they are new to the distribution industry, so they are doing a nationwide campaign for their warehouses. i agreed to go to 4 shows and apply a windsheild banner on my car. so i sold out for one year for 10K....oh wellll.....

Damn, I need a sponsporship. Actually I needed a sponsorship like $30,000 ago but I could always use one now as well.

I went T78, the HKS kits always seem to require more work and cost more. I have never seen an HKS T04R on anyones car so I am not sure on that kit. The Haltech seems to be the EMS of choice for most high horsepower FD's. It looked tough to install so I went PFC, I love it, but there are not many people around where I live that tune them. They are all Haltech people around here.

Congrats and Good Luck.

What is there email address? I could fill there Midwest void and cover shows and races from KC to STL to Chicago. I would be more into the racing though, I am not much for car shows but I could sport a sticker for $10k.

Scott AFB? Isn't that in the Midwest. Like Illionois outside of STL?
