How far do the garrett divided exhaust housings stay divided (eg, how far past the turbo flange do the the runners stay separated before merging into one, if ever)? I've got a .96 A/R undivided housing on my 60-1, and am very disappointed with the boost response, power, etc. at the moment. I would like either a .84 or 1.00 divided housing for the turbo instead, but I don't think it's worth the $250 upgrade on this turbol, especially after seeing spoolin7's new setup (turbo ~$1000).

Would it be possible to make an insert for the housing to mimic the divided housings? Something like a T that bolted in between the housing and manifold, with a 'tongue' going into the turbine section.

Thanks

Manolis

Short answer: no

They are divided all the way, and you need a divided manifold to benefit.
