Jims5543:

Nice, what kind of turbo is that.

I got 3k to spend here...but I am debating on what kind of turbo upgrade to do. I was thinking of doing a stage 3 or 4 from BNR...

What are my other choices that aren't going to cost me $2000+

How much power are you looking for? A good custom setup shouldn't cost you more than $2000.

I want to be able to do atleast 350hp. I was looking at the BNR stage 3 but have heard that these sometimes aren't the best bet. The other 1k I am using for a Haltech.

Its a T-04E from Sportscarmotion. It came with air cleaner downpipe wastegate etc.. $3,500.

I am expecting 350RWHP @ 12 PSI.

I can boost this up to 18 but I want the engine to last a while.

If all you're looking for is 350 HP then the HKS TO4E kit would do just fine. If you want 350 HP with the potential for more then go for a custom kit. Do you want an external wastegate? Going custom will almost certainly require that. An HKS cast manifold and standard wastegate will cost about $600. You could also get a SFP manifold for an extra $150. They're very good. The stuff to do the oil lines and downpipe will cost you about $100-200, depending on how fancy you want to get. Then you'll just need a turbo. My friend made 383 RWHP at 15 PSI on his TO4E. I think it was a .81 A/R P trim turbine. It spools up very quickly, and the tope end is still pretty good. A 60-1 would also be nice, but more money.

Well I was looking at the HKS T04E kit and it looks really nice but is kind of pricey. Now if I did a custom job I was wondering if it would be better. For instance I got a quote from BNR on this:

60-1 compressor wheel

T04B dynamic Package

360 thrust package

15 degree clipped turbine

ported wastegate

ported turbine housing entrance

all new piston rings/bearings ect.

balanced and blueprinted

1 year warranty

Now the quote I got for this is to send my turbo in and they do the above to it. The cost is $700. With this setup I was also thinking of getting a external wastegate....

Do you guys think this would be a better way to go? Also the above should fit right in a require little modification/s.
