Thumbs up

From what I understand, a divided housing will allow for quicker spooling and constant power throughout the RPM's. What do you guys think ?

I talked to a few guys at a garrett manufacturer and they said there's really nothing proving that divided is any better... Who knows.

SO are they are saying that there is no point to a truly divided manifold ? , I hope not !!!! , I think the true effect of it will depend on what your engine and exhaust manifold set up is , for instance , on a four or six cylinder using a logtype manifold its pointless , but on a rotary with separate exhaust runners , you'll be surprised. To reap the REAL benefits of a divided housing you would need a truly divided (or as closely paired as possible ) exhaust manifold.

Ever wondered why modern manifold manufactures try their best to "PAIR" cylinders and "TUNE" the runners like on those fancy HONDA turbo manifolds ?, ........... divided turbine housing = Lightning fast spool = won races .!!!

DuMaurier has a good point on that one. I would have to agree with that statement. Just my .02 though

Depends on the size of the turbo how much the divided housing/manifold will effect it..

Well, I will be running a T-60-1 w/divided Tang. housing along with a newly built street ported motor. Hoping to spool at 3500 RPM's. Will post how things turn out.

I agree emphatically.
