Must be some new model. Not much difference really in the models. I like the color though. It looks like a black combined with a red mica flake. Bigger wheels, would be smart to have bigger brakes, but it looks like it does not.

if they replace the word shock with dampner, what else will the world come to?

The strut shafts have been increased from 12 to 14 mm. I would think that they have used the Mazdaspeed struts but I'm not sure. I should have mine Monday so I will measure them. The front cross member is also injected with a urethane foam to strengthen it. I smell a DIY project coming on.

From a pure performance standpoint the shinka is worthless......lot's of fancy marketing crap. It is a nice luxo machine, but not my cup of tea.

Okay, I measured the Mazdaspeed struts and sure enough, they are 14mm. Looks like they made some attempt at making it a bit different that the standard 8. However, they can have all that extra weight and keep it.

we got ower first shinka rx-8 today at my shop. im goin to pdi it as soon as the office chicks pull there heads out of there asses. the color is definatly differnt.
