Just a feeler thread

I have an 89 240sx coupe two-tone That I would like to trade for a T2 in good condition. So here are some specs of the car and a couple of pics.

1989 240sx XE coupe

168XXX miles on chassis

92 KA24DE swap

60XXX on motor from a 92 Super HICAS

K&N Drop in filter

Flowmaster exhaust

S14 seats

Working heads up display (HUD)

NGK Iridium plugs

Sunroof

Power windows

VLSD from a Super HICAS

AC and PS is removed but I have all the parts to the AC

All around the car is in great shape and runs great. It has a couple of cracks in the dash, and a hole in the carpet right below the gas pedal. There is some rust on the car and the passenger rocker panel was rusted through when I got the car. It has since been fixed and will be painted(hopefully) in the next couple of weeks. It is not just a cover up the rust job, I did it right and cut out all the rust and made a replacement panel.

The paint is in decent shape, but the clear is starting to fade in some places.

I also have 3 sets of wheels and 2 sets of tires that will go along with the car.

1 set of steelies

1 set of non-SE wheels

1 set of coupe wheels

1 set of Falken Zeix tires

1 set of cheap econo tire

All mounted and balanced.

I also have a couple of spare parts that will go with the car like a radiator, interior panels, and rear seat.

Here are a couple of pics of the car. The CF hood is no longer on the car. and It has 2 s14 seats, again not pictured.

To tell you the truth I am not sure, I just made the mistake of selling my RX7s(six in total) and buying this and another 240 and inking way to much money into them. Just want to get a stock T@ that isnt modded or beat to living hell.

I see them at repo auctions here a lot more than 240's. If you can believe it 240's actually sell for a bit more. It is just the "cool" car to have here I guess. Thats what I get for living near the border. I would personally rather have the TII OBVIOUSLY! (I am actually going to pick up the next decent white one I see, but they are all red and blue damnit ) I could make a little by re selling the 240 at the same auction.

Maybe I should pick up some red and blue ones and advertise them for sale here? (Not that I think red and blue are ugly, I just want a white one) Ya know?

Good luck finding a car ^^

Just for the sake of comparison here are the NADA and KBB values

NADA KBB

RX-7 turbo 2625 3935

240sx XE 2400 1475

I used the same milage and same options but I put the RX7 at 1991 and the 240 at 1989, mainly because I am shooting for an S5. They were set at excelent condition and highest value. Why there are great differences between KBB and the NADA I dont know. I use NADA at work and its what I always price my cars at.

Again I am not looking for a perfect T2, just something that isnt a piece of junk.

That a 10AE with some mods, you just cant compare a 240 to that, even if the 10ae has peeling paint
