I want to buy an rx7 for around $1000. I'm in new jersey and it must run ok, and be stickshift. I need it to pass smog, and drive straight. The frame has to be perfect and there cant be rust anywhere.

Why would you be so dumb and ask for a perfect car for that cheap? I'm sorry to bust your ***** but that is idiotic!

It doesnt sound bad cause it preety much needs a new motor. Which will run you around 2k if you take it to someone to do everything. Its low compression on motor makes up for the price. See what I am saying ?

yea true, but low compression is still driveable right? I could run like that just to get around for a couple months while I save money for a swapped rebuilt rotary motor? or does low compression in a rotary mean its going to just stop anyday soon like today or tomorrow?

i thought taking it to someone would cost 3-4k?

Yea you can drive on a low compression motor although its not recommended. If you dont know how long its been on low compression it could worsen faster. It will get so bad that you will have to push start it or even constantly rev the motor because as the compression lowers it might take you 4,000 rpm to start moving. VERY BAD if you live in the city because your foot is constantly on that peddle.
