Red face

...and now it's time to say goodbye

Yep, selling my '87 TII. Black, 41,000 original miles.

2 1/2" Borla dual cat-back exhaust, high-flow cat. converter (passes inspection), 3" downpipe, dual alternator pulley, air pump and whatnot blocked off, moon-roof, A/C, CD/MP3 player with premium speakers, security system, brand new rear tires, front tires less than 1 year old, new brake pads & rotors installed all around less than 1,000 miles ago

The paint could use some work, but is in pretty good condition. Some very little chips here and there (like the size of raindrops), no scratches. A few very small dings (above gas cap, driver door - smaller than a dime). A larger dent in the front passenger fender caused by previous owner. Interior is VERY CLEAN. The center console has a hairline crack in it. All of these minor imperfections are very easy and cheap to fix, as you probably know. Another cool little feature I like is that I have a separate key for the glove box. I'm pretty sure that this is not standard on stock Rx-7's. To sum it up I broke/lost every key to the car. Had a locksmith make me a new one, which fit everything (doors, hatch, ignition), but wouldn't open the glove box. He made another key that did eventually open the glove box. So, it's kind of an added security bonus I guess. Might come in handy if you get pulled over and the cop wants you to open the glove box..."I can't officer, don't have the key."

I'm in Rochester, NY. For those of you who don't know that's about an hour from Buffalo, 4 or so hours from Cleveland, maybe 1 1/2 hours from Syracuse, maybe 8 hours from NYC, and that's all I can remember off the top of my head. You can shoot me a PM, reply to this, IM me @ sublimike34, or e-mail me @ mikevan311. I'll give my number to serious bidders only. I will try to post or attach some pictures later.

Here's your chance to build your dream TII with very low mileage! Take it before it's already gone!

I'll start the bidding at $6000. Nothing short of that.

I'll be putting up some more pictures soon and advertising it on cars.com. I'll make sure to put the link in here for you guys.

I've already gotten a few calls from you guys in Manhattan, cool. Again, the only 'problems' with it is the minor dings/dents, which are easily repairable. The paint is in good condition, not great. This car is in EXCELLENT condition. The dent in the front fender is about 4x3", I could actually have it repaired, but I'd have to include it in the cost and figured I'd leave it up to the buyer if he wanted to fix it. I never had it fixed because unless you know it's there, you don't even recognize it.

Just look at the picture. You're honestly not going to find another one in this good of condition with this few ORIGINAL MILES! I've given you guys a head start on checking it out before I put it in the paper and cars.com. I know I'll be getting tons of calls once I do that. Like I said before, I'm not taking any less than $6,000. If you offer me $7,500 the car is yours.

The interior is in pristine condition, except that the center console has a crack in it at the top. Never really bothered me, but you can buy a new one for like $15. Not only runs good, but great. Idles right around 750-800 rpm's. No rebuilds, the miles are completely original.

I have a carfax report available. No major problems whatsoever.

The rear tires are bald, but I'll be buying new ones very soon. I also have a fuel-cut defenser that hasn't been installed yet, a new alternator not installed yet, and an old exhaust manifold, all of which I'll throw in to the deal.

I don't know why everybody is so stingy on the price either. There are several NON-TURBO '88s on cars.com, with MORE MILES, being advertised for MORE $$$. I can negotiate on price, but honestly if you're not willing to offer at least $5,500 then forget it.

So, from $6,000 to $5,500. I'm not going any lower than that.

If you're looking at Kelley Blue Book then you deserve a slap in the face because that thing does not know how to correctly value modified import cars.

Well, we'll see. I certainly hope it's sold by then...but ya never know. I'll probably put it in the paper this weekend and on cars.com, so it's likely not going to last too much longer.

Thanks for the interest though.
