FS: 1979 RX7 project shell, with 351 motor for swap, etc...
#1
A guy I know is selling this car and I told him he should toss it up on some of the rx7 boards, he didn't want to make a SN just to sell the car (thinks it's kinda tacky) so asked if i'd post it up for him. Anyway I quoted his post below, but there are more pictures if you follow the link to the original post. If you have any questions they should be directed to warren (antilag_200), @ dsouzaw (at) michigan (dot) gov. I just want to reiterate that this IS NOT MY CAR, I am just posting this up for a friend because he wants to get it out of his driveway and i'd rather see it go to someone for good use than to the scrap yard.

If any of you are looking for a project car let me know
here is the list of what I have
I think I will never finish this project so I am deciding to let it go
I will post pictures of everything when I get a chance
1979 RX7 chasis was previously set up for a 302
chasis has koni shocks all the way around, momo steering wheel.suspension techniques sway bar, drive shaft and rear pumpkin, also I seam welded the front of the car.
I have already finished the skeleton work for the sheetmetal dash, and will come with aluminum sheetmetal dash in its early stages. I also removed the windshield in antioipation of going lexan all the way around. Currently the car weighs no more than 1300 pounds.
Keep in mind this is a gutted vehicle there is nothin in it what so ever
Motor --351 windsor block, 40 over already, crank is in good shape as well as the pistons and rods
Heads --gt40p cast heads, with trick flow valve springs (brand new never installed heads)
Comp cam and lifters to go with this specific Cam
c5 (I think ) transmission that came with the 351
1000 obo --- this a great start for someone who wants to build a budget car
pics
the engine bay shots are showing the seam welds
all rust is purely surface from it sitting outside
If you have any questions feel free to ask
