Well, I've had my FD longer than most, but I think the time has come to sell my baby. For some reason I feel like I'm going to regret this.

I've owned the car since Feb of 2000 and took it from stock to what it is today. This car IS NOT a cream puff. It has be taken to the road course/autocross/drag strip. I have pushed it hard and put plenty of miles on it. However, it has been lovingly and meticulously cared for by me, because after the first couple of years I figured out that most shops just didn't care about it as much as I do. I'm the kind of guy that wants the nuts/bolts/washers to go back to the exact same spot they came from, because Mazda had a reason for putting a particular type of nut in a particular place. That's the level of detail that the car was maintained to. And darn near every part on this car has been replaced since I've owned it, sometimes twice or three times (engines).

The car has been in FL for most of the time I've owned it, however it did spend a few years in Nebraska (never drove in the winter), I'm in the military, but I brought it back to FL almost 2 years ago now and it has been sitting, and then I bought an airplane...and well...Aerobatics > FD3S.

With that being said, I'll list mods, then some good and bad, then the last CarFax I got from 2008.

Asking $18.5k OBO. No trades.

SPARES:
A set of streetported side housings that need to lapped, e-shaft, 1 usable housing, one good rotor, front cover. Miscellaneous other small engine parts from the JDM engine I bought and rebuilt. 2 extra 50% used Yoko tires included.

THE GOOD:
- Air conditioning works!
- Power steering works!
- No 5th gear syncro grind!
- Race car that you can drive on the street!
- The Exedy dual disk carbon clutch is magical!
- Sitting in RZ seats is the best feeling you can get with your pants on! (I never tried with my pants off, but if you buy it I'm not stopping you)

THE BAD:
- The Exedy dual disc clutch discs are really pricey (+$700 each)
- Front bumper is pretty well rock chipped along with an area of spidered paint. Needs a bumper repaint if you care; I was taking it to the track so I didn't.
- Back corner of one side of the hood is mangled a little from the hood popping of the hood brace on a windy day that I was working on it.
- Front left corner of the bumper lip was torn off from a track "departure" at Mid America Motorplex. Reattached with a couple of rivets and some aluminum backing, can't tell from 10' away.
- The '99 JDM "brake cooling duct" on the front left side (small undertray infront of left front tire) was also "removed" during that departure, I never got around to replacing it because the oil cooler ducting was still perfect.
- There is a small whine from the diff under deceleration
- There is some suspension squeaks from dry JimLab bushing, they need to be greased (a small PITA) or replaced (a bigger PITA).
- The Koni shocks have around 70k miles on them, they could use to be refurbished or replaced.
- Driver side rear view mirror control is intermittent
- Airbag light illuminates intermittently, I think there is a bad sensor

That's about it, thanks for looking!

And here is a link to a friends video of me at the drag strip, he didn't appreciate the rotary roar, or that my car was faster than his turbo S2000.

Thanks for looking!
