1989 Vert for sale in Socal.
104k Auto Tranny Convertable.
The Restoration of this car began when it had 89,000 miles on it. That is when I wrangled it away from Dealerships. Since then I have performed the following:
· Rebuilt Stock Motor: Includes all new seals and springs using Mazda OEM parts
· Rebuilt Driveline.
· Rebuilt Brakes, New Master Cylinder Wheel cylinders and Pads
· New Tires
· New Water pump and hoses
· New belts
· New plugs and wires
· New cooling fan clutch
· New Fuel Pulsation Dampner (don’t buy an old RX-7 unless this has been changed or be prepared to change it yourself as fire can occur.
· Fresh paint on major panels.
· R134a Refrigerant in A/C system.
· New Battery
· New Alternator
· Racing Beat True dual header with Magnaflow Pre-silencer custom fitted.
These are the things that need to be performed.
· The Rear main Oil Seal on the Tranny needs replacing
· Drive line needs balancing
· New top (found a new replacement for $350. @ topsonline.com
· Seats recovered (found a shop in La Puente. $325 per pair in faux leather and $650 per pair for real Leather. Two day turn time.
· TLC for lotsa little things.
The Photos show a few things. One you'll see the Fresh Yokos. One you'll see the Rip in the top. One you see a FTP is missing, I am sourcing one right now, just need to stop a Pick a part and pull one. One Photo is of the A/C while driving you can see the inside is a frigid 30 Degrees.

Here are some more pics. I have posted these here before when I built it. The motor was put in when the car had 92.5K on it. So It is safe to say the motor has about 12k on it.
There is pic of the Header that is currently on but I modified the exhaust. It had two 18" Magnaflows, I had them removed and put a Dual/Dual Magnaflow that fit in the Catalytic converter cavity much better plus the tubing is mandrel bent and it all fits snugly under the car with all the correct hangers.
Here is a pic of the ripped seats. They looked good 24 months ago but they were so dry that they just seem to fall apart with use....nothing I could've done would have saved them. I even downloaded Leather Restoration techniques for desicrated leather from the smithsonian and performed those techniques with out any good luck.
