1985 Rx7 GSL-SE in Pittsburgh, PA area

$2500.00 firm. I would like to inform everyone up front that I will point out EVERY flaw of this car up front.
I bought this car 2 years ago with 77,000 miles on it! I'm only the third owner. The first owner put it in storage for around 15 years, and the second drove it very little. Both owners maintained the car very well. I've put almost 30,000 miles on it since that point (it's 23 years old and still under 110K!). It has seen 2 winters, but has NO RUST. Believe me that this (in western PA) is the rarest aspect of the car. This car is 99% stock and is a perfect driver or basis for project. (only mod is clutch).
-POSITIVES:
-still has the goods that made it good. fuel-injected 13B, 5speed, posi, 4-wheel discs, even A/C.
-body and undercarriage are both completely solid. from what i can see, the car has never been wrecked.
-13B still runs strong. a tiny bit of smoke on cold start only--disappears when engine warms.
-transmission shifts great (new centerforce clutch kit)
-rearend still hooks flawlessly
-good tread on tires (comes with a set of winters as well, if you want to tempt the rust gods)
-interior is entirely complete and in fantastic shape (it's amazing what DOESN'T happen to a car if it isn't driven for 15 years) solid brown/cloth
-power windows, antenna and headlights still work
-NEGATIVES
-needs paint. it's flaking badly, but no rust at all. i've made the decision to peel anything that looked like it could eventually harbor moisture (which would of course lead to rust). (factory brown)
-steering box needs to be adjusted (which i hear is simple, but I haven't attempted it yet). there is some play in the steering. This is the only thing in the way of it being instantly "driveable" (although I drove it that way for over a month)
-the GSL-SE specific alloy wheels are starting to lose their luster
-one small ding in driver's fender (about the size of a nickel)
- this really isn't a negative, but I should mention that the inspection is up. I haven't driven it for a couple of months, so it didn't matter to me (I started the emasculation process by getting an economy car). I know the brakes are good, and all lights work.
I need to get $2500.00 out of this car, and from what I can see from the rx's on the market, it's a bargain. I need to stress that the only reason I'm selling the car is that I have a baby boy on the way, and car seats don't go well in the back of this thing. Please message or email me with any questions. Email for pictures if you are really interested, and i'll send a bunch.
