1984 GSL-SE turbo for sale
#1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I never thought I would be doing this, but the time has come to sell my baby. It's a 1984 GSL-SE That I have turbocharged. I did NOT do the TII swap, as I dont like the TII manifold, turbo, or intercooler. Here is the current set up.
S4 TII block with 84 SE lower and upper intake manifolds.(that way I didn't have to change the wiring or comuter) Custom made exhaust manifold with Garrett T3 turbo with 3" exhaust exiting just in front of passenger rear tire. Has a NPR front mount intercooler Eclipse 1st gen BOV. Fuel upgrades include larger Bosch fuel pump, Haltech F5 additional injector conroller running two more GSL-SE injector on the upper intake manifold and an FMU for high fuel pressure. Has autometer boost and air/fuel guages and also push button start. Other mods include:
6 puck clutch disk
TII tranny
custom driveshaft
electric fan
larger front sway bar
MSW wheels
BFG drag radials
stripped interior
4 point roll bar
Sparco racing seat
RB engine torque brace
IMSA front end w/foglights
3 piece spoiler
glass sun roof
Jacobs coils
Light weight steel flywheel
This car used to be used for autocrossing untill I turbocharged it and I have been drag racing it ever since. Best time in the 1/4 is a 12.427 @ 108.63.
Now for the bad. I just did a rebuild on it. It required a new rotor so I got another one and finished the rebuild. When I tried to start it, it gave me trouble but finally started. It ran horribly however and vibrated badly. I'm thinking it was a rotor from a different year so its out of ballance. I just dont know, but I dont have the time or money anymore. So, if you do have time, or have another short block to drop in, you could have a pretty sweet, FAST ride!! I'm looking to get $2500. If it doesn't sell pretty soon, I might part it out or try and find another engine. Either way, I'm in no rush to sell so no lowballers please. Car is located in north Houston, TX.
