They're tough to find brand new. I bought one from Pep Boys over 2 years ago for $130. It still works well.

What's funny is that both the NA and TII starters appear to be exactly the same, except for the mounting flange.

in that case maybe you should'nt ask vosko. I'm 98% sure the ones I gave him were from an NA, I guess he better look at the old one carefully befor he trys to install one of the ones I gave him.

If you could get a 1/2" thick block of aluminum you could weld a flange on there to get it to work, but that may be too much trouble.

The ones I had were from a stupid customer a few years back. he cam in saying he needed a starter and asked me to put his new one in. I put it in same problem, he went got another one , I did it again and same problem. Needless to say the problem was a bad battery terminal, but he did'nt decide to have me diagnose his problem till 2 starters later, which I kept LOL

anyway the only thing I remember was that the car had that electronic adj. suspention crap. Don't recall it having turbo

If it had the electronically controlled suspension then it was an NA, a GXL.
