For Sale:

Used TII engine. I don't know a whole lot about this engine. It has been sitting in a garage for a couple of years, but I was told that it ran fine before it was removed and had less than 50,000 miles on it at that point. This engine comes complete with the ECU, Turbo, Intercooler, Clutch/Flywheel, etc. The intercooler is not pictured, but you've all seen a stock TII intercooler before, right?

I'm a first gen guy, and I don't know a lot about these engines. I assume it's a 87-88 motor, but I imagine somebody out there can tell from the pictures.

The price is right, we need to get rid of this engine! $600.

I have not tried to start this engine, I have not heard it run, I have not tried to turn it over, though I'm told it turns over fine.

Obviously I'd prefer local pickup, in Louisville, NE (near Omaha). Shipping might be an option, though, if we can make the right arrangements.

Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll do my best to answer them.

It looks to be a S5. Look at the upper intake dynamic chamber.

Is there a way to tell for sure which engine it is? I can take a look next time I am up there and let you guys know. I'm more of a 12A guy, these fancy turbo things are a little foreign to me.

More info: Some people on another board pointed out that it has a first gen front cover. I just talked to my friend about that (I'm selling the motor for him, he doesn't have internet access). Turns out that the people he got this motor from were planning to install this engine in a first gen race car, so the front cover is a first gen, and the oil pan has been changed. We think the oil pan might actually be from a REPU, and that might not even work in a regular FB. We think it was for some special steering situation they had with the race car they were thinking of installing this motor in.

Somebody mentioned that they thought the ECU was for a NA, not a turbo. I was told it's a Turbo ECU, but if somebody could confirm for me what numbers mean what, I'll try to double-check that.

I'll try to confirm some of this and get the whole story this week sometime.
