I love all the smartass newbies that wander their way onto the Forum. By the way, welcome. If you had read the ENTIRE post instead of just skipping to the prices, you would have read that the PFC has been tuned. Youre amazingly low $1330 is for a bone stock PFC with base maps. And being the FD tuning expert you appear to be, I'm sure you know how useless those maps are, so I won't bother boring you with the specifics.



As for the datalogit, as again an enlightened person such as yourself knows, RX7.com is the ONLY place in the US you can purchase the datalogit, so telling us that's where you got your prices is pointless. And since the datalogit is new, and still in its original packaging, that might explain why it's not being sold at a discount. Not to mention that they are currently on backorder. But anyone as intelligent and in-the-know as yourself probably already knew that too.

People posting about the lower prices elseware should stfu and mind their own business. I would imagine it would be annoying when your trying to sell something and some smartass comes along and decides to try and ruin your businass by posting other places to get it cheaper and/or talk down your prices. If you dont want to buy it or have some kind of positive post then stay out of the topic.

i didn't post the price to undermine his selling point, which he clearly states was the maps tuned to 420hp, because i did read the post and i read about how he was willing to lower his price if we did not request the maps that he had. My post was more of a response to ricola who was stating prices for brand new units, i figured i'd help him out by letting him know those weren't the prices.



If my intent was to in some way mar this topic as being overpriced i would have added a sarcastic tone of "ohhh what a great deal, i can get a new one with the commander for $1250" but no i simply stated where and how much one could purchase a brand new unit.



Hell if anything the fact I posted a price for a brand new one simply makes his package sound like a better deal by comparing a unit which comes pre-mapped for 420+hp with that of a base, brand new PFC.



As for the newbie usage, that is quite mature. Let's determine one's knowledge by the simply integer standing next to the word "Posts:" for is that not the way we determine ones knowledge in the real world? Oh wait I see, it isn't.



Now i take no offense to the words you said, because they are but mere words which in reality when broken down are simple integers interpretted by the machine I'm sitting at. So i'll gladly take your words with a grain of salt.



Consider this a potential buyers way of saying that I am no longer interested, no matter how good the deal, for you see in reality I was planning on talking with you about this sale for I was rather interested in it, but with such a truly immature attitude i see no reason to continue with an attempt to purchase.



Lost Time, if you have the need to have a feeling of superiorty, or perhaps seniority, then it's all yours I am in no way trying to **** people off or take such things away from you, simply because you couldn't look at the broader view and realize my intention was good, gives you no right to stereotype me.

See you were not aware that I wanted to talk with Lost Time in regards to purchasing his PFC and commander, as soon as i returned home from a trip to the store, no instead you quickly made the judgement that I was here to do nothing but ruin his topic, how does the saying go? Assumptions only make an *** out of u and me?



Anyway I do admit i should have made it easier to recognize that my post was in response to ricola's letting him know brand new, base units, were cheaper in other places.



In my post I also laid the base price that i wouldn't be willing to pay over for Lost Time's PFC and commander (w/o his 420+hp maps), a buyer's strategy if you wish to call it so, but hey all is lost now.



Also quite sorry for the thread hijack, won't happen again guv' i swear it.

teknics, my comments were directly entirely to the person who felt like chiming in originally, ricola. I'm sorry if you felt they were directed toward you, but if you check the time stamps on the posts, I was still busy typing my little digression when you posted. I didn't even read your post until mine had posted behind it. That's neither here nor there now. If you have no interest in the parts, that's both fine and your choice as a consumer, just understand that my comments weren't directed toward you.



Lastly, I don't judge anyone's competence by their post count, and neither should anyone else. My use of the word "newbie" was meant to be derrogatory, obviously, but not because of his short forum membership and low post count, but because of the content of his posts.



If fact, your original post seemed to be in support of my pricing if nothing else. So again, I'm sorry if our lines got crossed, and I'm sorry if that prevents you from potentially purchasing something you may have wanted or needed.

Kevin, actually if you contact them in NZ they won't sell it to you directly. They will refer you to Ari (rx7.com) since he is their one and only US distributor. That was their choice to limit distribution, for whatever reason.
