[attachment=31577:attachment]Hey there, hope I'm not posting in the wrong area. I'm thinking about swapping a 13bT in my '68 Datsun Roadster. Wondering if anybody knows of a swap like this, and if so, do you have any contact info or links of pics or? I've seen a few guys here have done swaps into 510's and a guy is doing one into 1200.

One of the hardest thing to find is size specs. Are there any links to dimensions of motor and tranny combos?

You see the occasional V8 swap, so it seems that there should be plenty of room, but when they do that swap the usually have to modify the footwells, so I so I'm particularly interested in the tranny sizes.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Do it! No reason not to - a rotary will fit in any engnie bay it's so small.

My in law did it to his but its N/A. Ill try and get some pics for you. He had to fabricate a header for it since the original exhaust goes thru the frame of the roadster. And the space left for the exhaust manifold is very tight, you may have a bit of trouble fitting the turbo. His is carburated and had a bit of clearance problems for the air cleaner. He would of been better of with Dellorto's instead of the Holley. The stock roadster radiator is very small so a good fan shroud with the stock fan and clutch along with an electric fan did the trick. The oil cooler was replaced with an aftermarket transmission cooler due to space limitations. If you use the 82-83 5spd tranny it fit perfect for the shifter. The roadster driveshaft fit perfect just change the yoke. He also stuck with the roadster alternator. Like any project its taking him some time to get it perfect and is constantly changing things on it. Its a fun car to drive, though. Posi and if I remember correctly it already has 4.36 gears in it.
