For Those That Bought The Atkins 2mm Seals
#11
They are Hurley seals.
I just bought some yesterday and they have identical matching dots.
Make sure you match up the corner pieces with the apex seals- they should all be stamped with particular dots-1-3 red dots, or 1-3 black dots !

I'd heard that Hurly seals were junk and their were a lot of issues with them, so now hurly buys their seals from Atkins and just resells them under their name.. They sure look like Atkins seal with the exception of the dots..

Myself, Jspecracer7, Igy, and 1Bad180sx all rent the same shop together.. I got out of the military about 7 months ago and I have been working there ever since building FD's. The rest of them use the place to work on their own cars and it's a place we can all just go and hang out and chill with our friends etc.. I've probably put together at least a good 20-30 piston engines in the past and I'm probably somwhere at around 40 or so 13B's now..

Thats awesome!
Is that how you make your money too (the shop) or do you have another job? Seems like your living pretty good over there! Did you have any kind of technical training or did you just kinda start to gain knowledge the more you worked on engines (piston/rotary)?

I grew up around dirt track racing and my dad used to build engines for richard pettys car when he raced Mopar in the early 70's... First car I ever built was a 74' Cuda when I was 15 and I had a RX3 when I was 17 for a while that gave me the rotory itch.. I learned pretty much everything I know from reading **** and doing it myself... The best way to learn somthing is by doing it once and ******* up because then you won't **** it up again.. I'm doing ok at the shop but pretty much just making enough to survive.. Most of the stuff I'm doing to my car now is by selling parts etc I amassed while I was in the military or by making all my own ****.. lol.. don't let the look of my car and what's in it give you the impression I make a lot of $.. I just spend all my $ on my car.. and try to keep my living costs to a minimum so I can support my habbit..
