Pilot bearing seal installation question
#1
I just purchased a "blind hole bearing remover" tool from Harbor Freight and it worked beautifully for removal of my old pilot bearing. $34 and change after using a 20% off coupon I located online.
I installed the new bearing no problem. Now it's time for the seal. Which side of the seal faces up?

The solid side is out. The seal lip faces into the hole, to keep grease in the bearing.
