Hi
I am rebuilding a T II 88 mod and looking for tips for painting the cast iron and the aluminum houses.
I have seen many nice pictures of side housing in many colours but i dont know what kind of paint to use (temp). Is it the same paint i use on the rotor houses to get the new aluminim look( dif. colour of course).
Please give me tips

Obviously youll need high temp paint and I'm not sure but the aluminium might need an etch primer.

First I used Engine white then red on top of that. It made the red pop out better. Just make sure you clean the irons real good. I even took the grinder an took off the casting flash on some of the edges to give more appeal.

I used black ceramic paint(the low temp stuff, but still 500F) on my irons only and it clings to it well. I had to grind it off with dremel to make good contact on the engine ground, sandpaper wouldnt do it.
I think the brand is Dupli-Color or something like that.
