I'm not sure about where to get them, but I have sucessfully made my own years ago. You might want to consider that option because of the price.

I have considered it but for this particular engine I'd just assume leave it to a professional.

Sometimes the real ones come up on Ebay, If you go with backyard homemade ones, I have some tricks on those. BTW what is this going into?

Yes. But they're not for my car and the factory housings are still around $1400 making the RB ones seem like a deal. Actually the RB housings don't sound so bad once I figured the cost of a new housing and then taking it to my machinist and having him do the work. Still waiting to hear from Scalliwag.



FWIW I'm going halves on an FB drag car. Going to park the road race car for a year and play at the dragstrip. Our local import series rules are rather liberal so we're looking very hard at a p-port turbo. The car goes to the chassis shop next week for the cage and rear end work. Power plant is still up in the air.

Thanks for the replies guys. We've decided on making them ourselves after all. The process is less challenging than what I had envisioned. Someone wish us luck.
