Ok Ok...where To Go?
#1
OK GUYS...ADVICE PLEASE...
Im in the market to have a motor built for my 89 TII. I want to get things done right the first time. I want to go with new parts on pretty much everything (housings for sure, and maybe rotors, but i don't know yet...) I also want as many reliability mods as possible done on this engine. I live in the Southwestern part of OH, and I know of a rotary shop in Columbus, but that's about it as far as being close. I dont mind having the engine shipped, as long as I can get the quality motor that I want. Im shooting for around 450whp, but that is final numbers after everything has been done. Im basically asking if anyone knows of a Good shop with a good reputation that can perform this type of work. I would like to get a large streetport or a wild streetport similar to the porting master MR. ITO. I would love to have him build this motor, but I know that he is backed up, or at least I think so. Bottom line, I plan on spending a good amount of money, but I just don't want to get screwed by a bad shop job. Is it too much to ask for?
Thanks for your time fellas....

A word of warning: EVERYONE is BUSY right now.
Ask for a copy of EVERYTHING in writing!!!!
Be leery of warrenties: Make sure you are comfortable with what is required for a warrenty to be in effect and what it ACTUALLY covers

i think banzai made some excelent recomendations.
i have seen BDC and Ito's work first hand and can tell you that they both do top notch work. if you're still looking for other options, you can try Joe at Smokin Joe Racing he does great work at reasonable prices. but he too is backed up right now.
your best bet like banzai said is to call and compare

Thanks for the fast replies guys....
I have seen your names in many topics around here, so your knowledge and experience is greatly appreciated
In Banzai's case, It really blows that he had to go through all that junk so he can help people like me out
If anyone has anything else, Please don't hesitate
Thanks again...
