I have posted a few threads about trying to get my car started after a rebuild as you might have seen.

Since putting it all back together it just doesn't want to fire up.

Checked compression and its 4.5bar on each rotor equal bounces on the tester on each face.

I'm getting spark and fuel in there.

I know the rotor timing cant be out since the E shaft only allows each rotor to be in a certain way, checked that on my scrap engine which is in bits.

I seems that the ignition and injection timing is out, is this possible??? Since the front pulley and plate can only go on one way to the front hub.

the ignition pickups can be plugged in backwards

another common mistake is to reverse the coolant and fuel temp sensor connectors

Nearly got it started using a bit of ATF, so looks like the connections are OK

I would try to tow start it.

Did you use new Apex seals and rotor housings? Remember they have to wear in with one another. If you almost got it started with the ATF thing then it is not building enough compression on its own. It needs a swift kick to the backside.

If you tow it, they will come.

Engine is back out, something just wasn't right. Going to strip it this weekend to check it and try again.

And shove a new set of plugs in there too. Got a feeling i'll be towing it as it was new housings and all new seals.
