Well my 91 RX-7 will need a new motor soon since the one in it was just "refreshened" at 89k. I am currently at 115k and she is still running strong to a point. She defently does not pull like my friends 89 but still has plently of pep. My problem is the lower Hp of the N/A's. I would love to drop a turbo 2 motor in but after everything is done i would have spent way too much money. I will be doing all the work while i go to auto school so i have all the tools and parts at my disposal. My goal is 200-250 hp at the flywheel with out doing crazy ports or any major grinding. I need options since i am still newer to the rotary power plant. From what i have been reading is all 13b's are almost the same. So from that i would assume that i could use higer compression rotors from a rx8 power plant to get a little more hp. I do know i will be doing a mild street port so it is still driveable and will get 20 MPG highway with out a problem. What are my other options? I know that i will be running a full RB exhaust so that is taken care of. What else can a do other than what i listed to get close to 200 or so Hp? Also websites where parts can be ordered are really GOOD since i really cannot find a site that has a good amount of things other than what is on here.

Thanks, Jon

Fuel management of some kind.

Pri/sec. streetport

Aux. bridgeport(5/6th ports)

The 10:1CR Rx-8 rotors will set you back quite a few bucks.

You will also need to get counterweights and get them machined for regular 2mm Apex seals. not worth it over the 9.7:1 CR S5 rotors for just a daily driver IMHO

so a street port will get me in the 200+ Hp range? Also how will the bridge port effect the driveabilty of the car? I want to have this as a daily driver with some weekend fun in it. From what i read people with bridge ports loose some of that realiabilty.

Good tuning of stock ports will get you 200 crank hp. Exhaust is critical. Street port and proper tuning should net something closer to 200 whp.

WOW DRS you managed to tell Jon EXACTLY what he does NOT want to do, in a way that he cannot understand, we are definatly getting somewhere now!! Expensive completely custom and difficult, unreliable peripheral ports, with turbo chargers! What he wants is to get his NA ( Naturally aspirated) vehicle the most power with out turbo charging or completely re designing the ports. Not to mention he also wants to do this as cheap as possible. Just my .02$

so what is hard about linking the two ports to make one port then doing a full lenght bridge port? and what is hard about getting a 12a tall port ctr pl8 and takeing it to a engineer and getting the water seals machine into the pl8 then bridge porting the ctr pl8? and what is so hard about port maching the inlet manafold to the ctr pl8? it should take a day for all the porting the only you be waiting for is the engineer

and to (chainsawonstiods dude) what gives you the right to say what you z do you know NO have i meet you NO so shut the fu@k up and wht said is for a n/a and not turbo

and dont nock it until you try it as this engine is reliably as any other engine

Firstly, why don't you write sentences that everyone can understand and secondly, joining the two ports in a six port iron is not a good idea. If you understood basic physics you would know that port velocity would go out the window and less power would be made, even at high rpm.
