Just want to see how many Autocrossers there are in here.

I have been Autocrossing for just over a year now and really love it. I wanted to go to the National runoffs this year but due to my baby being due the same week I am going in Spt. 2004 with a very well prepared TII that I am building.

I am currently running in my Street driven TII but hope to have the dedicated Autcross car running before Sept. this year.

So who else Autocrosses? Where do you race and what do you drive?

I autocross when I can. I drive my '89 T2. I don't care about the competition or classes. I just have to do better than the people I know out there. I race out here around Seattle.

I don't autocross yet, but I'm very interested in it. I hope to have my car ready to X by August, then I'll try looking for tracks to participate in around So Cal, which I hear there are a lot of.

Amp - so true. I look at Autocrossing as a stepping stone to other motorsports. It is an awesome venue to learn car control in more that road course. They say good Autocrossers make great road racers. I am only heading to the Nationals to prove a point then moving on.

This might **** some people off here but I feel at the National runoffs the arent neccessarily the best drivers representing. I think there are more drivers that can afford to go and have the time to go. That does not mean all the drivers there are not good but I feel a majority of them are not very good but go and hope to get lucky.

Any one who looks at this thread and is not Autocrossing should really get out and do it. It makes you a great driver and RX-7's are naturals at it.
