First off: MY CAR IS LOUD!!! I don't like it, I know its loud and I'm trying to decide what parts to buy to fix it.

I spend all day Saturday prepping for Sundays event:

Install 4.3 LSD rear, swap to five lug suspension etc

Sunday: Drive 125 miles to event that I PRE-REGISTER for.

Car passes tech. Drivers meeting is 45 minutes LATE!

At Drivers meeting, Event director informs participants that sound is being enforced. Sound has not been enforced at previous events, no prior notification of sound being enforced was given; as other clubs do.

After Drivers Meeting, I go to Event director and tell him he may have issues with my car. I KNOW ITS LOUD. He come over and listens to my car and informs me its too loud. Entry Fee refunded.

If you are going to enforce a RULE after 6 events in the season, give the participants a CLUE!!!

That sucks! If they ever enforced the sound rule at the local autocrosses I would be sol in a heartbeat. The mighty 88 base is the loudest thing out there usually. Too bad it wasn't faster

That does suck! If you are still experimenting on Mufflers try the Aerospeed bombs. They are loud until you put the silancers in. The hole is about 1" in diameter but they are very quiet.

When I put the silencer in on my Apexi N-1 it is quiet too. No sound hardly at all.

I know it will cut your power but at least you could race still.

Ever consider throwing the cat back on? Or saving for a high flow cat?

Good luck.

That was poor etiquette on the event organizers part. You should argued the fact that it passed tech. And if noise is an issue, they should have told you at tech or before the event. Not at the drivers meeting.
