if no one makes a drop in one, what is a guy to do to get more air flow?

looking at it, i dont think i could port it out without effecting the metering ability. i think i would do more harm than good with me dremel.

i dont think i have enough $$ or time or paitence to install an aftermarket ecu which doesnt need a mas.

am i just SOL?

will i have to live my life knowing my engine breathes through a mcdonalds straw?

edit: couldnt i buy like an rx8 mas and use that? or maybe a mas from another brand of car, as long as its the same kind (bosch to bosch) i know the i/o can be different, but as long as i stayed close it shouldnt matter would it?

you could do that, you need to find an electrically compatible one thats bigger, maybe a big toyota?

i will hit up all the junkyards in my area lookin for a compatible upgraded mas (larger one) made by bosch and of the same year.

if i find one, would anyone else be interested in one also? of course i would first test the crap out of the one i get (if i can find anything) to be sure it actualy works good and does have an impact.

before and after flow readings from obd2 and probably 5K miles of use should be an ok test.

i am still really supprised no one else cares about a larger maf for more airflow. whats the point in a better air filter and intake if ya use the stock restrictive mas?

stock FC MAF meter is pretty large. I wouldn't worry about it until you go BIG single turbo.
