Should I Be Experiencing Backfire From
#1
I have just put in the drop in K&N and I have noticed a slight bit of hp, not a "holy **** dude, my head is imprinted in your seat". Just a small difference.
Anyways, I am having some backfires happen, which is fine, cause it sounds cool, it is so small and cute, it sounds tough. Oxymoron right there. I only have experienced backfires from dropping the clutch at 7k rpm then shifting, and that was very noticeable.
My only question is, is this bad for the engine, or is it just cleaning out all the carbon and **** from the engine. The air filter I had in there was horrible, completely black, and not even useable.
60 bucks well spent, and it is running alot cooler now too.

You don't have backfires from the FD treceb? FD backfires are bad as fawk, and especially when you get some flaming action going on.
