1993 Rx7 Smog Pump / Egr Removal
#1
I wish to disengage my smog pump and EGR system. However, I have a few questions:
1) Can this be done so that it's easily when I need a smog. (Ummm I mean when I'm not on the track...hehehe)
2) Will it possibly damage the car?
3) What is the best way to do this?
Thanks,
John Magnuson

Yes John you can simply unplug the lines on the EGR vavle and cap them off with some small silicone caps.
The smog pump can simply be unplugged from the wiring harness.
That is he easy way to them. The other would require the block off plate for the egr vavle.
The air pump removal, you would have to get the different pully set and the new resized belt.
The downsize is that your stock cat will be clogged in a few hundred miles.
