Starting A Sitting Car
#1
I have been told that since my beater has been sitting so long 3-4 months i have to take off the distrutor and prime the cam? is this true?
if not, any suggestions for starting procedures except changing fluids?

not true, 3-4 months is not long at all for a car to sit.
I also think you mean take the distributor off and using a drill
with a special attatchment to spin the motor to get oil going thru it.
Totally not needed. You can take the coil wire off and shut the flow
of fuel off and crank the engine over a bit if you want, but its definitly
not needed for a car sitting a few months. Gas, oil, coolant should all
be good.
priming the cam- no clue what that means, 99.999% positive it means nothing
considering a camshaft is a mechnical thing in a motor that has no oil
or any fluid for that matter running thru it.

Are these the ol skool RWD 5.0 Cougars? that look like T-Birds but not? Cuz those are pretty tight... what the hell is priming a cam btw? I've never heard of that and I've been a car nut since I was 13...
