possible for piston oil control rings

go bad by not running enough oil? i noticed this effect on my buddies car, he had like 1/2 to 1 quart in his engine and it was knocking real bad for like a week, now his car is burning oil, coincidence?

LOL, why did he run it like that for a week?

And yes, the rings are bad, but it will probably keep running forever.

I have no idea, he had no clue either, i told him to drive like a woman too since hes gonna take care of it like one.

y havent u converted him to a rotary. my buddy whos car got stolen is selling his car to pick up a 1st gen gslse :bigthumg:

we notice on the mazdas once you overheat them the piston rings loose their springiness nad the engine starts using oil
