What wheels where on that 97?

16 or 17's?

With a bigger sway bar and lowering springs would help massively on one of those cars!

I have ridden in a 95 with 16 inch rims and in a 98 Saleen with 18 inch wheels and the performance suspension. MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! But if you like Ford keep your eyes out for an SVO mustang! Especially an 85.5 model... 205 hp 5 spd 4 wheel disc brakes 2.3 turbo air to air intercooler T3 turbo I believe it is. Most people do a T3/t4 hybrid turbo. Many of the 2.3 turbo motors are running low 13's with very lil money in them and the SVO corners right along with the RX7's due to less weight in the nose.

The 97 had the 17 inch, cobra R wheels, they looked pretty good.

My issue is and no offense directed at the Mustang, I am huge into back country roads, I love to eat them up on my bike and my car both. The Mustang with some mods could pull ok, although I don't recommend the 4.6 overhead cam motor. It just wasn't as much fun to slam through the corners as either one of my RX-7's. I had some reliability problems with my 97 too, the reverse went out at about 4K, right front caliper was jacked and a few little annoying issues which made it not fun to own. Not to say Ford is junk, their trucks are great, I just got a bunk car or something to that effect. Owning the 97 forever soured me on Mustangs, it's just one of those things I guess.

If you change the Ford to Mazda then you'd be reading a typical story about somebody buying a 2nd gen that wouldn't start when you park it, with lights, blinkers, and a heater that don't work.

YEa very true, but that's why I say it's just one of those things. Once you get a lemon, it's pretty hard to convince someone to buy another.

Ford has made alot of lemons, but many of them killed the owners. I guess those experiences couldn't be spread by word of mouth.
