Gtech Evaluation Of 88 Acura Integra Ls
#1
So I bought a Gtech off ebay for $44 shipped. It works great and I tried it on my 88 Integra, the car I had before getting my FC. The most forward acceleration the car can muster according to the meter is ~0.35g in first gear and about 0.25 in second. Braking can produce almost 0.6g before the tires break (Bridgestone Eager 165/60's), and the most horsepower the engine can get down to the front wheels is ~75-80 based on a weight estimate of 2800 lbs., according to the Gtech.
This car is really comfortable and a nice daily driver, but old and kinda slow.
Time to hook it up to my FC and compare numbers.

I didn't get a chance to wind out the FC too much but it pulled a little more than .5 g in first gear at around 5000 rpm a few nights ago. There was too much traffic around to test anything further up the rpm band or to use the hp function. I still need to read the instructions to figure out how to do a 1/4 mile run, but judging by the instant G readings I was seeing while driving around, the FC is quite a bit torquier than the Integra, even though it is street ported.

My buddy has one of the better G-Techs and I hit like 0.6g in the Jetta, which ain't half-bad for being stock. I wanna borrow it and take it to ZenRXSeven's house to see what his (formerly mine) TII will do...i bet it hits like 0.8 it's such a beast lol...
Yeah...G-Techs are cool.
