are the chassis of the early 90's (as in 92+) mazda 929 and cosmo similar in any way?

I know that the older 929's were available in Japan with a 13b-t...which is ****** gangsta. As far as the later 929's...yo no se. All I know is that they were RWD, auto only, and bland looking.
