Well, we sitting around at my buddy's house when he's like "lets take my motor out today"...so i was just like, sure whatever...we didn't have a lift, so we did use a tractor(worked fine). Let me just give a quick breakdown of an MR2 motor pull...it is a midengine thus you are SUPPOSED to take the motor out of the bottom of the car...but we opted to take out of the top...so don't be scared if the motor looks like its gonna fall onto the car, it didnt...we actually only put ONE scracth on the car during the entire process..

Here's the pics:

When pulling the motor, you pull the tranny/motor as one and that involves disconnecting the halfshafts, etc...so the car was sitting on a jack on its crossmember(and still is)...anyways..here's the pic of our inovative engine lift:

Got it all chained up on both sides of the motor(which later we had to change, because when you take the motor out of the top...you have to angle it out..)

There's jon trying to change the chains over to get a better angle(i told him he was just tryin to pose like vin diesel...)...our other friend Jordan, who is a mazda owner, but his motor experience goes as far as domestic V8s, and he had his "expensive" shoes on, lol...

It's out! We did snag the car and end up lifting it off the jackstand...but it only fell like 2inches, so its all good...no damage..

Nope...no jspec....this is our larger project car(yes, larger then the SE-X project of mine, lol). We're taking the existing 5SFE, rebuilding...shaved head, higher compression, shortning the stroke, lightweight STRONG internals, and then a custom 1320 TurboKit...which will be our first of many we hope. We're looking to also buy another MR2, another 2nd gen Rx7, and an older early 90s late 80s 240sx for test cars...

We tore the block down today...I'll post those pics soon...
