Anyone know of a good full service shop in the Portland area? (address, phone number?) By full service I mean engine, trans, diff, etc. Not a shop that just does tuneups.

Hey Wdwflash, how is the Kelmark coming along? One of these days I will have to venture out and see it. Just a suggestion, but you might try calling Pineapple and asking them. They are probably very knowledgable about shops in the area.

Hi Isamu,

Kelmarks coming along fine. Just got it back togather after the trans went bad last fall(only 200 miles on it, but the builder redid it for free and was very sorry) Just went to the import/VW bash at Bremerton raceway today. Took a trophy in the show n' shine. (the only replica/kit car there, but what the heck, it was a fun day!) Been sorting out my overheating problems from last year and believe I have that problem licked. Also did some refining on my Haltech E6K and the engine is running real strong! Will be at the narrows car show in Gig Harbor on the 25th, the south Tacoma car show in mid Aug and the cruz in Port Orchard on Aug 10th. Hope to do some autocrossing this summer also.

The reason I was asking about a Portland RX7 shop is that I'm traveling to Portland for a while in my '86 RX7 and since I'm away from my home shop I always like to know where I can go for repairs if need be.(You take an RX7 into a regular shop and most don't know what to do and even if you know how to do the repairs, no shop is going to let you us their tools.)

Weren't you working on a first gen project? How's that going?

I actually sold my 1st gen. I am now working on an 88 TII that I picked up a couple of months ago. I had the turbo upgraded through BNR and and decided to try out a microtech on it. It should be fun. I still have my 88 n/a which I drive most everyday and autoX in.

Maybe I'll make it out to one of those car shows. Is the one on Aug. 10th the big one you were talking about last year? It sounded like fun, but I didn't make it. Maybe this year.
