It is as long as you have enough control to stay away from the walls. I checked out the track and the lanes are big enough that if you spin out there isn't a huge chance that you will hit something. The track is an oval with banked turns and a paved mid-section. Drifting is possible on both banked turns and the mid section can be used for transitions. Check out the pics from the previous event and it will give you an idea of what the layout of the track is like. The description of the route each person will be taking is below.

Quote from NWD:

For those who missed out on the previous event, the track layout is basically an expanded figure eight, one sweeping left, then a transition / crossover, then a sweeping right, another transition / crossover and a left again... all on a BANK!

So I guess you would be up for that camping trip huh Z? Sorry, I had to. South Sound Speedway is only like 10 miles away from me (or less). I would like to go, but my car is my daily driver and I would hate it if something bad happend.

z-beater - It'd be great to see you out there! There's a lot of people going to these things as one of their first track events as well. You gotta start somewhere!

rmriggin - The majority of the people participating are using their daily drivers. If you want to be cautious do most of your experimenting in the mid section rather than the banks. Those walls are hard no doubt!

If nothing else, you guys should come out and just check out the course and the driving to see if it's something that you may want to participate in for the future. So come down and say hi! If you don't know me, ask around for "Chixican" it's the sn I use on the other boards.
