Car show, 700+ cars
#1
I know that this is a little early, but its always good to plan ahead. On Aug 11th in Port Orchard, Wa., there is a car show put on by the Saints Car Club. Its called "The Cruz" and last year they had 600+ cars and expect 700+ cars this year.
The Rotary Rockets of Wash. club plans on attending and it would be great to have a bunch of rotary powered cars there. Its only $10. to enter and there are a lot of tropies given out. Its a nice chance to show off your rotary powered car, truck, etc.(see and be seen!) The only down side is if you want a good spot you have to be in line before 7AM(700+ cars). They close down the downtown of Port Orchard, have live music,a beer garden, dancing in the street, food, sidewalk resturants, auto parts venders, a block of artsy/fartsy stuff(for the wife or girl friend, or both, if you like to live dangerously!) and its right on the water. All in all a great car day.
If you want more info or want to look at past shows, go to:
http://www.saintscarclub.org
Also, starting in mid April, there is a car show every Wed.(starts at about 5PM), at the A&W Rootbeer stand on Milehill road(just one block east of the traffic circle.) Its great fun and last year at one show they had an M-1 abrems tank! (This is also put on by the Saints Car Club.)

I fixed your link to saintcarclub.org
I might try and make it down there this year. I think I went to that like 6-7 years ago, and it was small then. I don't know if it was the same thing though. All I know is it was a car show in Port Orchard right on the water front, and they had streets blocked off. I was there for a car stereo competition.

Its probably the same show. I guess its only started to get real big in the past few years. I've seen it three years now and it keeps getting bigger. Unless they block off all of the downtown,I think they're going to run out of room soon. They expect 700+ cars this year.I emailed the saints car club to see if they would add trophys for import sport compact, import sports car, best import engine, etc.
It would be nice to see a bunch of rotary cars there, but if you want a good spot to show your car(or a spot at all!), you have to get there before 7AM. Its only $10. to enter and they give away a lot of trophys.

The one year that I went there we left our houses in Edmonds at 1:00 am and drove there (going to down to Tacoma, and across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge). We had plenty of time to clean up the car, and screw around. Needless to say we were the first people there.
