Ladies and Gentlemen,

Here are the preliminary details of the RPNW, RRoW, and Treasure Valley Club 2002 Joint event.

I have blocked 30 rooms at the WestCoast Center Hotel in Wenatchee, WA. The rate is $89 a night. There is a two night minimum. I will do this in two phases. The first will be a commitment by e-mail to me (3rotor@nopistons.com) that you want a room and preferences. E-MAIL ME SO THAT I kNOW THAT YOU ARE COMMITTING TO ONE OF THESE ROOMS - DO NOT USE THE FORUM TO COMMIT TO THIS BLOCK OF ROOMS. I will update my website with a list so that you can verify that I have you down for a room. If you want to room with someone, please let me know. Once we have the list together, I will arrange to have you guarantee your room with a credit card with the hotel. They will do this once I have provided them the list. I would like to have preliminary commitments no later than February 8th. Any rooms

not guaranteed by 8 March go back into the normal reservation system.

With this block, the hotel is sold out as of now.

Please e-mail me with

your name,

club affiliation, if any

Generation or type of car

Forum name,

Who you will be rooming with, if applicable

What events you want to participate in ie., Les Schwab Parade (Fri at 6:30 p.m.), Main Parade Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Les Schwab Car Show - Saturday

and e-mail address.

I have blocked 19 rooms with two queen beds, 5 rooms with a King, and 6 rooms with 1 queen. Rate is $89 single or double occupancy.

The Apple Blossom Parade - Saturday morning 10:30 a.m. May 4th. We will have to apply, but I have preliminary o.k. for us to enter 15 cars into the parade Each of the three clubs will get to nominate 5 cars for the parade.

Les Schwab Classy Chasis Car Parade and Show. The parade is at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That means a 11 a.m. to noon time departure for most of us in order to link up if you want to participate in this.

I envision two convoys from the clubs - those that can leave early

on Friday and those that will have to leave later in the day.

The car show is in East Wenatchee all day Saturday. I will have

entry forms and details later.

Again, I want e-mail to my

3rotor@nopistons.com

address to confirm hotel accomodations and desire to participate in the Main Apple Blossom parade. Please also tell me if you want to participate in the Les Schwab Parade (friday p.m.) and/or the Car Show on Saturday.

I updated my website. The Apple Blossom "roster" is on there. I will update as I have commitments from everyone. Check there to verify that I have received your info. Treasure Valley is going to have 6-7 cars, there will be several, I'm thinking 6-8 from the forum, and at least that number from the other two clubs. The early response is very good. We are looking at 25 to 30 cars!

A couple of updates and a couple of clarifications. Please pass this to members of your respective clubs, as appropriate.

The website is up and running. You will see the Apple Blossom 2002 link. It has a roster of who has committed to rooms, and what events they would like to participate in.

I have been asked why I chose the WestCoast Hotel versus the Red Lion or other hotels. I spoke with the chamber of commerce and several hotels. The WestCoast had a couple of advantages. They were easier to deal with. They have plenty of parking, increased security during Apple Blossom and are to the goto hotel for law enforcement. They offer free coffee and donuts to the local law enforcement over that weekend. So local police routinely come to the hotel throughout the various shifts. This info was offered up by the corporate booking agent knowing that we would be sensitive to the security of our cars. 19 of the rooms have 2 queen beds. up to two people is $89 a night. If you add a third it's $99 and if you add a fourth it's $109. The hotel also has some additional ammenities that the Red lion didn't offer.

With regard to the parade. Ultimately, I think we will offer 5 slots to each of the clubs to nominate which cars they want in the main parade. I suggested one from each class as a starting point and that is what I used for preliminary approval from the parade committee. I later realized that there were other rotary engine cars and one individual from the forum is bringing an RX-3.

As a reminder, when people are responding to me, I need their first and last name, club affiliation if any, e-mail address, room preference (ie., King, Queen, or Queen/Queen), and which events they want to participate in.

Lastly, the application for the Main parade will be mailed to me next week. Also, the applicaions for the Les Schwab events won't be available until the beginning of march, but they promised me at least the details by the end of this month.

Hope this helps.
