It's getting close to 2 bucks a gallon here around Seattle. At this rate I give it a week to get there. I truly hope that prices go through the f'n roof. Suck it up you whiners. This might be a positive thing. If gas were about $4~$5 bucks a gallon, do you think that there would be so many SUV's around? Nope. When a fill up for a big ol's truck starts creeping towards $100, more people will start looking towards econoboxes. Manufacturers will be forced to make more efficient engines. I can stick it out as long as I know there'll be less of those damn SUV's blocking the roads. Seattle is littered with them so that would be a nice thing.



Going by what VII13B wrote - gas in Australia is just over USD$2.20 a gallon. This was assuming that he meant one Australian dollar per liter of petrol. Today, one Australian dollar is about $0.59 in US dollars. The US always seems to have some of the cheapest gas.
